Our Competitions
Competitions are an important part of our programme of meetings and provide an opportunity for Members to hear what an expert independent judge has to say about their photographs.
We hold five monthly competitions during the season with separate entry classes for Monochrome Prints, Colour Prints, Digital (Projected) Images and Slides. At the end of the season the cumulative marks determine who will be awarded trophies.
In addition we have a special competition for themed sets of photographs - this is to help Members who wish to prepare Panels of work for Royal Photographic Society distinctions.
The Club is affiliated to the Northern Counties Photographic Federation and the North Yorkshire and South Durham Photographic Association. Members enjoy taking part in regional competitions organised by these Groups.
